Accurate for how the site works today. If you move to a white-label arrangement with a single partner, or start charging customers directly, these terms need rewriting.
What this service is
Electrician Unley is a referral service. We are not a licensed electrical contractor and we do not carry out electrical work. We connect you with licensed South Australian electricians and may receive a fee for referrals. You will always be told who is attending, and their PGE electrical contractor licence number, before any work is booked.
The electrical work itself
All electrical work is carried out by an independent, licensed South Australian electrical contractor, not by us. Your agreement for the work — price, scope, warranty, and the Certificate of Compliance for Electrical Work — is with that contractor. They are responsible for the quality, safety and compliance of what they do. You will be told who is attending and their PGE contractor licence number before work is booked, and you are free to verify it with Consumer and Business Services SA.
Prices on this site
Any prices shown are indicative market ranges for the Adelaide area, published to help you budget. They are not quotes and not offers. Your actual price comes from the attending electrician after they've seen the job.
Information on this site
The guidance here is general information about electrical work in older Australian homes. It is not advice about your specific property and it is not a substitute for a licensed electrician inspecting your installation. In South Australia all fixed electrical work must be carried out by a licensed electrical worker. Do not attempt electrical work yourself.
Emergencies
If there is fire, smoke, or someone has been shocked, call 000. For a fallen or damaged supply cable, call SA Power Networks on 13 13 66. This site is not an emergency service.
Liability
Nothing here excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. Subject to that, our responsibility is limited to arranging a referral, and we are not liable for the acts or omissions of the independent contractor who attends.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version on this page is the one that applies.
